Terms of service

By using KoreaAdmit you're agreeing to these terms. We've kept them as short and human as we can.

Last updated · June 4, 2026

This page is written for clarity, not as legal counsel. We are reviewing the final language with an attorney before our Fall 2026 launch and will update this page when that's done.

Draft — pending legal review

This text is a working draft for review by a Korean privacy lawyer. It is not final and is not legal advice. Bracketed values such as [retention period] are placeholders to be completed before launch.

1. Using KoreaAdmit

You can use KoreaAdmit if you can form a binding contract in your country, or if a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on your behalf. By creating an account or using the site, you're telling us that's the case.

2. Your account

Please keep one account, give us accurate information, and look after your password. Everything that happens under your account is your responsibility. If you think someone else is using your account, email us right away.

3. What KoreaAdmit is, and isn't

KoreaAdmit is an information and tracking tool. We help you understand eligibility, find scholarships, track deadlines, and compare programs.

KoreaAdmit is not a university, not a government agency, and not an admissions agent acting on behalf of any institution. Admissions decisions are made by universities, not by us. We do our best to surface accurate information, but you should always verify program details, deadlines, and scholarship terms with the institution offering them before you act.

4. Your content stays yours

Anything you enter into KoreaAdmit (notes, applications, uploaded documents) belongs to you. By using the product you give us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display that content back to you, so the product can work as intended. That license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, copy, or republish KoreaAdmit's content in bulk without permission.
  • Try to break, overwhelm, or reverse engineer the service.
  • Impersonate someone else or misrepresent who you are.
  • Use the service to harass other users, send spam, or do anything illegal.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account. We'll usually warn you first unless the situation is serious.

6. Scholarships and third-party information

Scholarship listings, deadlines, tuition figures, and eligibility rules are gathered from public sources and verified to the best of our ability. Programs change, and we can miss things. Always confirm with the awarding body or university before relying on a number or date for a decision.

7. No warranties

We provide KoreaAdmit on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work hard to keep things accurate and reliable, but we can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific outcome (an admission, a scholarship, a visa) will follow from using it.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, KoreaAdmit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that arise from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months, or 100 USD.

9. Changes to the service or these terms

We will keep adding features and, sometimes, removing ones that didn't work. We may also need to update these terms as the product grows or the law changes. If a change is material we'll tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using KoreaAdmit and delete your account at any time. We may also need to suspend or close accounts that repeatedly break these terms or that put the service or other users at risk.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We'll always try to resolve any dispute by talking first, so please reach out before anything formal.
